Ghandruk 11 · Annapurna Conservation Area
Named for the rare blue poppy that blooms high in the Himalaya. A quiet family lodge with the whole Annapurna range across the valley.
Our Lodge
The blue poppy grows only above three thousand metres and blooms just briefly each summer. Our lodge takes its name from that small rare thing, and tries to live up to it.
Built into the terraced hillside of Ghandruk 11, we look straight down the Modi Khola valley to Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. Balconies hang with prayer flags, the garden hums in the morning sun, and the terrace catches the sunrise before most of the village wakes.
The Rooms
Twin and double rooms kept simple and clean, with thick blankets for cold nights and windows that open on the range. Quiet enough to really sleep, close enough to the kitchen for a hot breakfast before the trail.
The Restaurant

Dal bhat served in brass thali, noodle soups, momos and good coffee. Eat inside among the flags or out in the garden with the mountains for company.
Call or write ahead and we will hold a room with a view for you.
